GEC is unique among consulting firms in that it has one of the largest and most experienced staffs of economists and planners providing services to Federal, state, industrial, and private clients. Staff members have successfully conducted hundreds of economics and planning studies for projects from Alaska to Puerto Rico and in almost every state in between.
GEC's economists and planners have completed more than 900 studies for 23 Corps of Engineers districts nationwide. The GEC in-house Economics and Planning staff is comprised of economists, sociologists, geographers, and planners. Although designed to mirror the capabilities of a Corps of Engineers Economics Branch, the staff has proven to be highly flexible and knowledgeable in dealing with the economic and planning needs of states, municipalities, and private entrepreneurs, as well.

Staff
GEC's Economics and Planning staff of 10 includes eight economists, one sociologist, and one public policy planner with combined economic study experience exceeding 200 years. The staff is highly experienced in the conduct of studies in support of the Corps of Engineers' National Economic Development responsibilities. Most staff members have advanced degrees and 10 or more years experience. GEC's Economics and Planning staff is adept at the use of state-of-the-art econometric models such as INPLAN and computer software such as HEC-FDA, IWR PLAN, and IWR-MAIN.
