
Stephen Spohrer, P.E.
GEC is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephen Spohrer to Chief Operating Officer.
Steve joined GEC in October 2004 in the role of Construction Manager, assigned to the company’s Louisiana TIMED Manager’s project. In his position of Deputy Director, Construction he has managed the construction engineering and inspection efforts on several billion dollars worth of road and bridge construction, including the reconstruction of the H. P. Long Bridge in New Orleans and the John James Audubon Bridge in the St. Francisville area. He was promoted to Vice President in 2007. Steve has over 40 years of experience in corporate engineering and construction management operations. His expertise is key to the continued strategic growth of GEC.
In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Steve will manage the day-to-day business affairs of the corporation. These affairs will include quality, timeliness, cost, marketing, and long-term strategic growth. Steve will report to Verdi Adam, PE, President and co-founder of the company.
He will continue to manage the duties associated with his role at LTM as Deputy Director, Construction.
An Army veteran, Steve is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Florida. He received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
