Vice President

The Vice President Reports to the President; works closely with Vice Presidents of Engineering, Construction, Disaster Recovery, and Business Development; coordinates with administrative staff including human resources, IT, and accounting; and manages staff in three departments located in Irvine, California, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Vero Beach, Florida. The position leads all the company’s coastal, environmental, and water resources activities and manages federal, state, and local projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • BS in Engineering or Science with emphasis on coastal, environmental, and water resources planning
  • Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Louisiana, preferred
  • 20 years engineering or natural sciences experience
  • 10 years project management and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated success developing business and managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies and Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority and other state agencies.
  • Willingness/ability to travel.
  • Prepares and monitors project budgets. Has overall responsibility for the profitability of projects.
  • Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Serves as a senior project manager and as a designated client contact.
  • Supervises and monitors client relationship strategies.
  • Coordinates and approves pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Develops client agreements for projects within the division.
  • Prepares forecast of workload for assigned staff.
  • Attends client meetings.
  • Responsible for control of work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on projects.
  • Directs and supervises engineers’ activities.
  • Handles contract administration.
  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, Environmental Impact Studies and designs.
  • Provides mentorship.
  • Participates in efforts to achieve departmental, division, and company goals.
  • Assist in any duties required to deliver a quality product on schedule.
  • Formulate marketing and business development forecasts, plans, and activities to increase company presence in defined markets and achieve national objectives.
  • Serve as key point of contact with customer and lead all presentations.
  • Oversee the successful development, organization, strategic positioning, preparation, and issuance of winning proposals and presentations.

Starting Pay:          Based on experience
Business Hours:     Monday through Thursday – 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday – 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
