G.E.C., Inc., a national engineering firm specializing in transportation, environmental, planning, coastal, infrastructure, and aviation development with a client base consisting of public- and private-sector organizations across the United States, announced today the addition of Anthony J. Marino to its senior leadership team. Marino, an accomplished senior-level aviation management professional with more than 42 years of experience and a wealth of expertise in airport management, joins GEC as Vice President of Business Development – Aviation Division responsible for developing new business opportunities and creating customized solutions for aviation clients.

Marino served most recently as Director of Aviation for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, where he was instrumental in obtaining funding for over $410 million in airport projects without the issue of a local sales tax or property tax. Marino’s areas of specialty include all aspects of airport development, such as funding, planning, sustainability and environmental mitigation, program management, design and construction for terminal, airfield, and landside development.
Marino serves on several national committees for airport organizations such as the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the Airports Council International. He served on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Chapter of AAAE and member of the Louisiana Airport Manager’s Association. For Louisiana, he served on the Governor’s Aviation Advisory Committee, the Governor’s Transportation Transition Team, the Louisiana Multimodal Commerce Advisory Commission, and the Louisiana Representative to the Air Carrier Airports Congressional Affairs Committee concerning Federal Aviation Regulations, and the Louisiana Alternative Financing Committee for Airports.
