GEC’s Gavin Gillen Organizes Charity Skeet Tournament

The Causeway Police Charitable Foundation recently hosted a Sporting Clay Tournament. The money raised goes to the Homeless Outreach to the Youth of St. Tammany (HOYST) to assist local needy or homeless children that are currently enrolled in school. The Foundation previously used most of the proceeds towards buying the juvenile patients Christmas presents at Southeast Louisiana Hospital, but is no longer able to do so since it has become a private institution. The Foundation has also donated to other charities in the area such as ARC of New Orleans and STARC (St. Tammany ARC).

Over the past 2 years, GEC has been recognized as the largest contributor to the Causeway Police Charitable Foundation. It is because of our company that the Foundation is capable of helping so many children within the southeast area of the state. GEC’s Gavin Gillen serves as the chairman for the Foundation, and was very pleased with the event. Ben Bartlett, Cary Bourgeois, Derrick Goudeau, Adam Reed, and Terry Ross also had a great time participating in the tournament.
