Program Coordinator Services for Hurricane Laura Recovery Projects (McNeese State University)

GEC served as the Project Coordinator/Client Manager for damage assessment program management services to interface with FP&C and McNeese throughout all phases of the recovery project. The GEC team leveraged FEMA reimbursement, insurance proceeds, CDBG, and other sources of funding for the recovery project. The GEC team conducted and tracked field assessments of each building project designated by FP&C; developed a Project Report for each building project designated by ORM/FP&C and submitted the Project Report to FP&C and McNeese after field assessment is completed. Additionally, the GEC team provided monitoring and coordination of design and construction activities.

GEC performed project management and project coordinator services to support the repair of campus facilities by conducting 147 building assessments in an unprecedented 10 days through the deployment of over 30 skilled damage assessors. This quick response was to support the return of the McNeese student body and athletes to campus for the start of the Spring 2021 semester. The GEC Team mobilized quickly ensuring personnel met all performance and deliverable requirements on time and within budget. The GEC Team continues to support FP&C through daily interface with the Office of Risk Management cross-leveling damage descriptions with A/E reports supporting the funding and repair of the main quads on campus.
