GEC has a 30 year history of designing urban interstate highway facilities.
GEC designed five segments of Interstate 49 in Louisiana. Those segments were complex urban interchanges that included roadways and bridges. GEC has designed four complex urban interstate widening projects in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. GEC has recently represented the Louisiana DOT (LADOTD) with four design build interstate widening projects. Owner verification of the design build contractors for the LADOTD requires that GEC have a thorough knowledge of LADOTD policies and procedures to verify that the design build contractors are complying with their performance based contracts.
