Bridges & Roadways
GEC’s engineers have developed master plans for both the public and private sectors. GEC developed a master plan for 24 mile-long Lake Ponchartrain Causeway and approaches. The master plan for this facility, owned by the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission, was used to fund and construct a $75 million capital rehabilitation program. GEC has also planned private residential subdivision developments to include the entire infrastructure required to support hundreds of home sites.
Civil & Structural Engineering
GEC has provided community master planning for small to large subdivision developments. GEC’s community site reviews provide preliminary evaluation of sites to determine potential development advantages and issues. GEC’s professionals can identify and analyze development constraints such as wetlands, flood hazards, traffic impacts, and other construction and environmental concerns.
