Water Line Replacement Program – New Orleans, Louisiana

As part of the water distribution system upgrades in the City of New Orleans, the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (S&WB) has employed GEC to provide water line replacement design and construction phase services on numerous streets in the St. Bernard, Bayou St. John, and Fairgrounds neighborhoods.

The services include preparation of plans and bid specifications for the construction of new water lines with new valves and fire hydrants. Existing water mains will be abandoned. Approximately 27,415 linear feet of new PVC water lines will be constructed (18,544 linear feet of 8” diameter and 8,871 linear feet of 12” diameter). The streets included in this program are Milton Street, Alfred Street, Buchanan Street, Caton Street, Foy Street, Sere Street, Gibson Street, Harrison Ave., Senate Street, St. Bernard Ave., St. Denis Street, Desaix Blvd., Derby Place, Leda Street, Ponce De Leon Street, Lepage Street, Castiglione Street, Bruxelles Street, Industry Street, Republic Street, Castine Street, N Lopez Street, Maurepas Street, Moss Street, Bell Street, St. Phillip Street, Dumaine Street, St. Ann Street, St. Peter Street, and Lafitte Street.
