For over 20 years, GEC has been one of the primary engineers for the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission’s Lake Ponchartrain Causeway Bridge.
GEC provided the initial design for much of the system, including the bascule bridge located in the center of the 20 mile long bridge. GEC has since provided re-design, maintenance, and inspection services for this bridge as well as completed bascule bridge designs on several other large bridges around the state of Louisiana.
