Johnny Bradberry has served as GEC President since 2019, leading the firm with his extensive background in both the public and private sectors of business.
Prior to joining GEC, Johnny was Louisiana’s Executive Assistant to the Governor for Coastal Activities and Chairman of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) from 2016 to 2019. As Chairman, he was ultimately responsible for implementing the State’s $50 billion 50-year coastal master plan.
Johnny served as Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) from 2004 to 2008. As LADOTD Secretary, the State’s first Coastal Master Plan was built under his leadership. He drove significant change management and continuous improvement efforts across the Department.
His private sector experience includes 28 years in the upstream/midstream oil and gas industry, multiple leadership roles in a specialty construction company serving the industrial sector, and engineering consulting.
Johnny earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourno University and Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University. He is a native of Grand Isle, Louisiana and currently resides in Baton Rouge.
